MADNESS.

“Madness.” is a multidimensional artist with an affinity for simplistic design inspired by the metaphysical and the collective unconscious. Madness’s area of focus is The Visual Spectrum of Design which includes every aspect of visually perceived stimuli from the external world. The Visual Spectrum is a data set that includes {Photography, Videography, Art Direction, Creative Direction, Graphic Design, E-Commerce Experience, Product Design, and Visual Stimuli}.

The pseudonym ‘Madness’ is derived from a state of being found at The Edge of Chaos, a transition space between order and disorder. This transition zone is a region of bounded instability that engenders a constant dynamic interplay between order and disorder, conscious vs subconscious, freedom vs anxiety. Also known as The State of Free Will, which is theorized by Madness to be the moment upon which humans act based on a function of their conscious and subconscious desires. The State of Free Will is the only moment in time where humans have the ability to exercise their free will based on rational conscious thought or succumb to an irrational decision driven by the subconscious anxieties. The moment at The Edge of Chaos is unknown, it is the infinite thought process where the past and future cease to exist, the moment of calculation, of choice between order and disorder, between creation and repetition. The moment of becoming. Also known as a State of Madness.

Madness. draws inspiration by interpreting the human condition at the quantum level by making a set distinction between mathematics (data) and human nature (emotion). In this theory of reasoning The Self is defined as two subsets of data, The Artist and The Observer. This creates a division between irrational thought also known as emotion and rational thought also known as data. The Artist acts upon reality based on interpreted data through experience. The Observer is a non-acting data set of past experiences. At any given moment in time there exists two versions of The Self. The past is the sum of The Observer and the future is a function of the past and present, also known as The Artist.

This philosophical reasoning is derived from an applied hybrid of theories that help us understand Nature, also known as the physical world, and Nurture, also known as the metaphysical world. These are known as Complex Systems Theory which includes: Game Theory, Nonlinear Dynamics, Systems Theory, Pattern Formation, Evolution and Adaptation, Networks, Collective Behavior, Self Organization, Probability Theory, Chaos Theory and their respective subset theories.
